1977-1979

Phyllis signed with Buddah Records in 1977 and moved to Arista Records in 1979, working with Barry Manilow on Somewhere In My Lifetime.

Phyllis signed with Buddah Records in 1977 and her self-titled debut LP included the Top 40 R&B and dance hit, “Loving You-Losing You.”  A second planned Buddah LP, Sing A Song, was only released outside the U.S. and with Buddah’s absorption into Arista Records, most of those tracks were included in her impressive 1979 LP, Somewhere In My Lifetime, with the title track being co-produced by Barry Manilow.
